External Relations
In this section of the game board, I learned some great tips to remember while talking to reporters, such as asking to call them back promptly and remembering that you're representing CCPL.

Outreach Services
With the face of the library constantly changing year by year, one thing that remains constant is people's usage of the library as a community center. Providing quality programming to our customers is a way to not only supplement the materials available to the public, but to be a source of learning, training, and support to library users of all ages.

Operations/Facilities
The most fascinating things I learned in this room were the number of departments Scott Reinhart oversees and the average age of a video game player (older than I would have thought).
The Facilities Manager is Tom Sheets.
The IT Services Manager is Bob Kuntz.
The Technical Services Manager is Elaine Adkins.

Human Resources
My emergency contact information in ESS has been saved. The timesheets will be most useful to me, as I will sign into ESS for these the most.
The HR Staff are:
Muffie Smith, Assistant Director for HR
Terri Simmons, HR Specialist
Kim Smithson, HR Specialist
Jaclyn Wilson, HR Secretary
My favorite prop was the Groucho Marx glasses, nose, and mustache...I've actually got one of those by my desk!

Teamwork
The link to the Team Progress Report for the Management Council from December 2011 meeting is:
http://wiki.carr.org/db/share/ccplcouncil/December%202011/
It was initially very difficult to find this on the Intranet. I finally took a shot and typed wiki.carr.org into the browser and was able to get to it from there.
An example of a systemwide committee is the Staff Day Committee, who meet in order to organize the annual Staff Day activities for CCPL. This year, branches are expected to make "book spine poems" for the meeting -- fun!
A branch team is one like the YA team here at ELC. This team meets in order to brainstorm and execute teen programs at the branch. This team was also in charge of creating a T.A.B. (Teen Advisory Board), which is well-attended and successful.
